Renée L. Ford is a Ph.D. candidate with Dr. Anne C. Klein in Buddhist Thought. Renée's interests in Tibetan Buddhism include distinctions between sūtra, tantra, and dzogchen (rdzogs chen), 3rd Dodrupchen Jigmé Tenpai Nyima, epistemological frameworks, and subjective transformation. Her theoretical focuses are on embodied knowing, ritual theory, performance theory, and embodied or grounded cognition. She has taught Tibetan language courses and Buddhist studies classes at Rice University. Additionally, Renee enjoys translating Buddhist texts from Tibetan to English.
